Whisky #6
Cask Strength
Alberta Premium

Canada ~ 63.5% ~ $90 ~

While Canadian rye doesn’t legally need to have any rye in the mash bill to use the name, this cask strength offering from Alberta Premium is distilled from 100% Prairie rye. You may remember this particular expression being dubbed the Whisky of the Year in fall 2020 by a famous, now disgraced, whisky critic. Unfortunately, we were unable to get our hands on that exact bottling though this year’s version comes in a few ticks lower at … checks label … 63.5%. Good grief! Expect BIG rye flavours that open up after a good sit in your hand and a drop of water or two.
