Glenfarclas is truly a family affair. One of the last properly independent distilleries left in Scotland, it is still run today by decedents of John Grant who purchased the facility in 1865. A defining flavour of Speyside, Glenfarclas is renowned for their mastery of sherry-only maturation. Being family-run reduces the pressure to develop new products and zany marketing gimmicks so they keep it old school – all their expressions start with numbers, mostly years. We are thrilled to bring you the sublime 25-year-old which we couldn’t properly describe even if we wanted to. Perhaps you can ask 12 Drammer Rory, who, legend has it, once drank half a bottle at a whiky tasting, one quarter-ounce at a time.
