Whisky #4
Single Malt
Indri

India ~ 46% ~ $95

John is definitely the more adventurous of our pair, and it was he that convinced JM to include an Indian whisky in the 3rd edition of 12 Drams. In an attempt to replicate that success, we’ve stuck our necks out with this expression from Indian upstart Indri. Distilled from indigenous barley and richly layered from time in bourbon, French wine, and sherry casks, this young expression offers up a multitude of flavours. Some are the fingerprints of Indian whiskies, matured in the sweltering sub-tropical heat using local techniques. Others are more Scotch-like, no doubt from those familiar cask origins. No matter where they come from, we will enjoy exploring.
