Whisky #4
Breton Single Malt 10yr
Armorik

France ~ 46% ~ $125 ~

Not all good whisky comes from seaside distilleries, but a lot of it does. Located in the Breton region of France, Armorik is probably not the first sea breeze-infused whisky you think of, but French whiskies have been on the rise. Known early on for their plant-based elixirs and liqueurs, Armorik has been focused on single-malt whisky since the late ‘90s including this 10-year, oloroso-finished beauty. With only 2000 bottles produced, it’s a special treat to be savoured.

Armorik Breton Single Malt 10yr
Tasting Notes

Matured over 10 years in our cellars, firstly in bourbon casks then oloroso sherry casks, this expression of Armorik reveals an innovative progression of the fruity character typical of our distillate: a balance between power and roundness enhanced by an explosion of exotic fruit with a hint of pepper

Nose

Powerful, with a fine balance between fruitiness and pastry. The notes of exotic fruit and almond croissant are enhanced by a hint of vanilla caramel.

Palate

Lively attack of citrus. Then the roundness emerges with an explosion of fruit and maple syrup

Finish

Very long and fruity, with a hint of pepper
