Scotland ~ 56% ~ $206
Besides being almost impossible to pronounce, anCnoc (a-nock) is also the reincarnation of the Knockdhu distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Geology provides this distillery with a virtually unlimited supply of peat, but despite the abundance, anCnoc uses the gift sparingly. This expression, a single-cask exclusive for Jak’s, fits that vision with a light peating that travels in wisps rather than the billowy campfire smoke of Islay. The cask-strength bottling guarantees you won’t be missing out on the subtle flavours imparted by the painstakingly traditional methods still in use today.
